Uttar Pradesh’s Retired Teachers Could Get Rs 6,000 A Month: Here’s How

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched the ‘School Har Din Aaye’ (SHDA) programme to improve school attendance. Retired teachers will be recruited with an honorarium of Rs 6000 per month to teach children who do not attend school regularly.

Selection Process

The Director General of School Education Department, Kanchan Verma, has instructed to begin the selection process soon. A block-level committee will handle the recruitment of these retired teachers.

Responsibilities

Retired teachers will focus on children aged 6 to 14 who are not attending school daily. The aim is to motivate and educate these children, ensuring regular attendance and providing quality education.

Objective

The initiative seeks to address absenteeism in government schools and ensure that all children receive the education they deserve. This program targets schools with five or more children regularly absent, integrating them into the SHDA program.

Statewide Campaign

The government is running a statewide campaign to encourage daily school attendance, and this initiative is a significant part of those efforts.

Impact

By involving retired teachers, the government aims to leverage their experience and knowledge to improve educational outcomes and attendance rates in Uttar Pradesh’s schools.

For more detailed information, interested parties should keep an eye on official announcements from the Uttar Pradesh government regarding the selection process and implementation timeline.
