Author Soundarya Balasubramani Opens Up About Assault in London: ‘All I Saw Was Blood’

Author and entrepreneur Soundarya Balasubramani recounted her traumatic experience of being assaulted in London, in a shocking revelation made on September 29, 2024. The incident, which occurred earlier this month, left Balasubramani with severe injuries and has reignited discussions about the safety of Indian expatriates abroad.

In a heartfelt social media post, Balasubramani shared, “All I saw was blood after the attack. It was terrifying, and I still have flashbacks.” The author, known for her books on personal growth and career development, revealed that she was attacked while walking home in the evening. Though the motive remains unclear, she mentioned that the police are investigating the incident.

The news of her assault has sparked an outpouring of support from fans and fellow writers, both in India and abroad. Many have taken to social media to condemn the violence and demand better security measures for expatriates in foreign cities.

Balasubramani’s ordeal has also reignited concerns about hate crimes against South Asians in the UK, with calls for greater accountability from law enforcement agencies.
