After PM Modi, NSA Ajit Doval To Visit Russia As India Leads Ukraine Peace Efforts

India’s National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval, is set to visit Russia as part of India’s ongoing efforts to mediate the Ukraine crisis. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s active involvement in advocating for peace and dialogue between Russia and Ukraine, Doval’s visit underscores India’s commitment to playing a key diplomatic role in resolving the conflict. India has maintained a neutral stance on the war, focusing on de-escalation and humanitarian aid, rather than taking sides.

Doval’s trip to Russia is seen as a strategic move to enhance India’s diplomatic clout, not only in the Ukraine crisis but also in broader geopolitical issues. With rising tensions globally, India’s position as a neutral party provides an opportunity to mediate and offer solutions that could benefit the global community. The Indian government has been consistent in its messaging—calling for respect for sovereignty, peace, and diplomacy over military action.

Given India’s strong ties with both Russia and the West, Doval’s engagement is likely to include discussions on energy, defense, and economic partnerships. His visit is also expected to bolster India’s standing as a global mediator, particularly at a time when the world is watching how major powers respond to the crisis in Ukraine.
