Salim Khan has come forward to defend his son, Salman Khan, in the ongoing Blackbuck poaching case, firmly denying the allegations against the Bollywood superstar. Speaking at an event, the veteran screenwriter emphasized that his son has always had a deep love for animals and would never harm them. “Salman jaanwaro se mohabbat karta hai (Salman loves animals). How can someone who cares for creatures so deeply be involved in such a case? It doesn’t make sense,” Salim stated.
The comments come as the Blackbuck poaching case continues to cast a shadow over Salman Khan’s career. The case, which has been in the courts for over two decades, alleges that Salman and other actors hunted endangered blackbucks during the shooting of a film in Rajasthan in 1998. While Salman has faced numerous legal challenges over the years, Salim Khan reiterated that his son is innocent and has no reason to seek any form of pardon. “Kisse maafi mange?” (Who should he ask for forgiveness?), he questioned.
Fans of Salman Khan have rallied behind the actor, supporting his claims of innocence. Despite the legal battles, Salman remains one of Bollywood’s most successful actors.
