
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has highlighted India as the largest market for Meta AI, driven by strong engagement on WhatsApp. In the Q2 earnings call, Zuckerberg noted significant retention and engagement in India, which aligns with the surge in Meta AI usage.
Meta AI Now in Hindi and More Languages
Meta AI, now available in seven new languages including Hindi, has expanded its capabilities, offering enhanced creativity and intelligence. Besides Hindi, Meta AI supports French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. Users can access Meta AI across WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, and Facebook, with more languages to be added soon.
Q2 Revenue and New Features
Meta reported a Q2 revenue of $39.1 billion, a 22% increase year-on-year. Zuckerberg announced that Meta AI is accessible in over 20 countries and eight languages. In the US, new features like Imagine Edit, allowing users to edit AI-generated images, are being introduced.
AI Studio Launch
Meta has launched AI Studio, a platform that enables users to create their own AIs to interact with across Meta’s apps. This move is part of Meta’s vision to empower individuals to develop personalized AI experiences.
Growing Engagement
Zuckerberg also mentioned the growing engagement within the Threads community, supported by enhanced content recommendation systems. Meta AI is on track to become the most used AI assistant by the end of the year.
