Anushka Sharma Opens Up for First Time on Parenting With Virat Kohli: ‘There’s So Much Pressure…’

In a candid interview, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma opened up for the first time about her experience with motherhood and parenting alongside her husband, Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli. The couple, who welcomed their daughter Vamika in January 2021, have largely kept their personal lives private. However, in a rare insight, Anushka shared the challenges and pressures of raising a child in the public eye.

The Pressure of Parenting in the Spotlight

Anushka, known for her stellar acting career and production ventures, talked about the immense pressure she and Kohli face as parents in the limelight. She noted that being constantly under public scrutiny can be overwhelming at times, especially when it comes to ensuring their daughter’s privacy. The couple has made a conscious effort to shield Vamika from the media, avoiding sharing her pictures or allowing her to be photographed.

In the interview, Anushka mentioned that while she understands the curiosity around their family, they want Vamika to have a normal childhood, away from the glaring eyes of the paparazzi. She emphasized the importance of giving their daughter a sense of privacy and allowing her to grow up at her own pace.

Finding Balance in a Busy Life

Balancing work, parenting, and personal time is never easy, and for two high-profile individuals like Anushka and Virat, it can be even more challenging. Anushka revealed that she and Kohli strive to support each other in their respective careers while making time for their family.

She credited Virat for being an active and involved father, adding that the couple has made it a priority to be hands-on parents despite their demanding schedules. Anushka shared how they often take turns managing their professional commitments to ensure they can spend quality time with Vamika.
